Boxer Superstores is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join our team in Westville, Durban KZN. Reporting to the Head of Risk, you’ll play a key role in developing, implementing, and managing a proactive risk culture that aligns with the Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committee’s strategic vision. This position requires a strong understanding of enterprise risk management within the retail environment

Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise Risk Management Framework

o Regularly maintain and update the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework in alignment with legal requirements, best practices, and guidance from the Boxer Risk Committee.

2. Risk and Control Identification

o Engage with management on identifying risk and control measures, including emerging risks.

o Gather and analyze information on internal and external risks, propose solutions, and assist in designing risk management controls and systems.

3. Risk Registers and Action Plans

o Maintain updated risk registers and follow up on action plan implementations, ensuring comprehensive risk mitigation measures are in place.

4. Risk Reporting and Presentation Preparation

o Prepare risk-related content for reports, presentations, and meetings, meeting all deadlines and ensuring accuracy.

5. Risk Awareness Programs

o Develop and lead risk awareness initiatives, including Control Self-Assessments (CSA

Minimum Criteria

• Education: Relevant Degree/National Diploma in Risk Management.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in risk management.

• Skills:

o Proficiency in Risk & Control fundamentals.

o Strong Microsoft Office skills.

o Familiarity with Boxer’s rules and procedures.

o Knowledge and experience in FMCG retail are highly beneficial.
