Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University (ZEGU) is inviting suitably qualified

personnel to fill in the following post: LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/PROFESSOR (1 POST) FOR BCOM HONOURS IN ACCOUNTING – DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTING, FINANCE AND HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT

The candidate must be able to teach courses in the following areas: Accounting

Concepts and Principles, Introduction to Financial Reporting, Introduction to Cost

and Management Accounting, Practical Accounting Data Processing, Financial

Management, Public Sector Accounting, Strategic Performance Management,

Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management and Public Sector Accounting 2,

Advanced Financial Reporting, Auditing and Taxation. The candidate must also be

able to supervise students’ research, actively participate in research and contribute

to innovations in the University.

The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with at least an Upper

Second Class (2.1) pass from a recognized institution and a Master’s Degree in

Accounting. A professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA will be a

distinct advantage. A PhD in this field is an added advantage. The candidate must

have at least 2 years lecturing experience at tertiary institution level with a clear

record of successful research, publications and supervision of students at both

undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Six (6) copies of the following: application letter, certified copies of educational

name, place and date of birth, qualifications, previous employment and experience,

present salary, date of availability, telephone number, email address, names and

addresses of three referees including emails and addresses. Evidence of

membership of a professional association (where applicable) should also be

attached.
