What are some important skills?

Having knowledge of Computer Networks is a skill I should have together with have a strong understanding of protocols like TCP/IP Protocols. I should also should have a good grasp of Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) that defines the functions of a communication system.

What is your favourite part of your job?

Contributing to the advancement of communication technologies and improve connectivity for individuals and organizations is the favorite part of my job in mass media. I also like the ability to explore different areas such as journalism, broadcasting, filmmaking, advertising, public relations, and more.

What are the main tools of the trade?

We use Oscilloscope, Punch Down Tool, Crimping Tools and a OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer) device are very important tolls we use in telecommunications and may vary from the work we will be doing at a specific site like installation, maintenance, or network troubleshooting.

What training have you had?

I have a Diploma in Telecommunications

In 10 years, I will be working in a telecommunications company assisting and providing valuable information to users in the field of telecommunications
