In the capital city. Big Cities are the centres of everything, especially the media industry.
What are some important skills?
Effective communication is crucial in mass media. This includes strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely, and active listening skills to understand and respond appropriately to audience needs. Journalism skills are essential. This includes researching, fact-checking, conducting interviews, writing news articles, and adhering to journalistic ethics and standards. What is your favourite part of your job?
The mass media industry encompasses various forms of entertainment, including films, television shows, music, books, and digital content. It offers a wide range of entertainment options that cater to different tastes and interests, fostering cultural expression, creativity, and artistic endeavours.
What are the main tools of the trade?
software and hardware tools used for creating content across different media formats such as text, audio, video, and graphics. Examples include word processing software, audio recording/editing software, video editing software, graphic design tools, and animation software.
What training have you had?
I have a Bachelors’ degree in Journalism.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In next ten years, new media will be at the epitome among all the mass media. Technological determinism will be at its peak and most of the population will be dependent on the mobile, internet and internet based devices. Therefor you will see me excelling in the Mass Media industry.
