Benefits to Quaternary industries

In Quaternary industries, 3D Printing enables rapid prototyping, allowing the industry to quickly iterate and test new ideas, designs, and concepts, offers the ability to create unique and tailor-made products, parts, or components to meet specific customer requirements, educes lead times, lowers production costs, and provides flexibility in adapting to changing requirements, providing hands-on experiences and practical learning opportunities and create physical models or representations of data, allowing for enhanced visualization and analysis.

What are some important skills?

Several skills are important which help us correctly execute our duties. Material Selection and Knowledge for selecting the appropriate material for the intended application and optimizing print, Print Preparation and Slicing, Troubleshooting and Calibration for identifying and resolving issues related to printer settings, filament/material properties, or mechanical calibration, Design for 3D Printing which helps in creating models that can be successfully printed, Continuous Learning and Adaptability for staying relevant and leveraging the full potential of 3D printing.

What is your favourite part of your job?

3D Printing allows me to unleash creativity and bring ideas to life and it provides hands-on learning experiences, enhancing my understanding of complex concepts, and fuels innovation

What are the main tools of the trade?

To prepare, operate, and maintain the printers and the printed objects we use tools like Autodesk Fusion 360, SolidWorks, PrusaSlicer, or Simplify3D, Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM), Stereolithography (SLA).

What training have you had?

I have a degree in Graphic Design

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
