The candidate must be able of teach and supervise undergraduate students’ research work and carry out research. The candidate must be able to teach the following module:

• Theory of Mechanisms and Machines.

Please note that the duties and responsibilities of a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor and Professor are grouped into 5 pillars of education 5.0 as follows:

I. Teaching

The incumbent is expected to teach or deliver lectures in accordance to the Department and/or Faculty guidelines and standards.

II. University Service and Community Engagement

The incumbent should participate in all Department, Faculty/School and University activities such as attending meetings, training workshops, conferences, committees and seminars, among others.

III. Research

The incumbent is expected to engage in active research in his/her area of specialization which benefits both the students and the University.

IV. Innovation

The incumbent is expected to engage in innovations which should lead to production of goods and services.

V. Industrialisation

Through commercialisation of goods and services.

• Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering/Agricultural Engineering/ Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering/ Agricultural Engineering or related field.

• University teaching experience is an added advantage.
