Job Description

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN AGRONOMIST
Duties and Responsibilities

Field-Based Agronomic leadership

Soil and Resource Management

Technical support and training

Research and Innovation
Qualifications and Experience

Master’s degree in relevant agricultural discipline

Experience with potato seed multiplication and certification processes

Knowledge of sustainable/organic farming systems

Experience working with smallholder outgrower schemes

Fluency in local languages (Shona, Ndebele)

Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or related field

Minimum 5 years of practical field agronomy experience, preferably with row crops and potato production

Deep understanding of Eastern Region soils, climate patterns, and agricultural challenges

Willingness to live in or near Nyanga with daily travel to farm sites

Valid driver’s license and willingness to work flexible hours according to farming seasons

Strong proficiency in agricultural data collection and analysis tools
