Are you young, innovative, energetic, visionary and self-starter?

Youth Advocates a multiple award-winning youth led organization is recruiting student interns

and graduate interns. This Internship opportunity is intended to provide the opportunity for

applicants to apply what they learned to real world situations as well as expose and prepare

them to become the workforce of the future through interacting with day-to-day operations of

organizations. Youth Advocates is committed to ensure a qualitative experience that involves

producing meaningful performances and skills that will enrich individuals work experience and

feed on producing an autonomous, team work spirit.

In light of our new strategy to ensure youth empowerment through skills transfer and

professional development, we are inviting applications for Student Internship at our

Chitungwiza offices. During the course of the internship period, interns will be oriented,

mentored, supervised and evaluated on their work on the following:

Internship Openings

1) Social Media Content Creators x 3

2) Youth Helpline Counsellors x 5 (Male and Ndebele speaking counsellors encouraged to apply)

3) ICT x 2

Duties and Responsibilities

The internship period will be a minimum of 8 months and maximum of 12 months. Interns will

be responsible for their own travel costs during the internship. Interns will be assisted with office

logistics including computers, internet access and office supplies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Interested individuals should demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Have strong initiative and the ability to work independently.

• Meet specific qualifications for the above-mentioned posts.

Orientation and Training

All interns will be provided with a Volunteer Code of Conduct for signing. Orientation of interns

will be done upon arrival to the organization, orientation will include a tour of Youth Advocates

Departments and an introduction to staff. Interns will be working guided by the vision, mission,

values and work being implemented by Youth Advocates.
